(closed loop demo) The World, The Jar, The Thief from Gregory Vershbow on Vimeo.

This came our of an assignment that I gave to my students in my fictional narrative photography class at ICP. The assignment (inspired by Duane Michael's "Things Are Queer") is to create a closed loop Narrative. I thought it would be fun to make one too. "The World, The Jar, The Thief" is a sort of love letter to Duane Michaels, and Surrealist Science Fiction (if that's even a real genre). Music is Spring of Love Take 3 (J. Ehrich) a 1914 recording of venetian string quartette. Music came from the UCSB Cylinder Digitization Project: cylinders.library.ucsb.edu/.
